Current position in LBEET: PhD candidate
Short CV: Georgios Manthos Holds a diploma in Chemical Engineering (University of Patras, 2018) and a master’s degree (MSc) in the field of "Environment and Energy" (MSc in Chemical Engineering, University of Patras, 2020). His research focusses on biotechnological waste treatment methods, and their mathematical modeling, including anaerobic digestion modelled with Gompertz function and ADM1 (anaerobic Digestion Model No. 1), bioethanol production, and the modeling of microbial growth (Monod kinetics, logistic model, etc.).
Research Activities: • Mathematical Modeling of biological processes • Anaerobic digestion of olive mill wastes for biomethane production • Exploitation of oil by-products to produce products of high added value • Composting of olive mill by-products
