Current position in LBEET: Postdoctoral researcher

Short CV: Dr. Dimitris Zagklis holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering (University of Patras, 2010), an MSc in “Energy and Environment” (University of Patras, 2012) and a PhD from the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Patras (2015). His research activities are focused on waste and wastewater treatment with physicochemical and biological processes, and their technoeconomic and environmental assessment (SuperPro Designer and SimaPro LCA software). He has participated in seven research projects co-funded by EU and national sources and is a reviewer for eleven scientific journals.

Research Activities: • Physicochemical and biological waste and wastewater treatment methods (membrane filtration, coagulation, adsorption, extraction, anaerobic digestion, and composting) • Technoeconomic analysis and Life Cycle Assessment of waste and wastewater treatment methods • Modeling of biological processes (Anaerobic Digestion Model No. 1, ADM1, Modeling of bioethanol production, artificial neural networks)
